ARTICLE FROM nola.com (Full story click here)
Our Seattle Seahawks are showing the sports world that we mean business. They showed everyone on “Monday Night Football” that their goal is one thing and one thing only and that is making it to the big game in New York called the SUPER BOWL.
The Seahawks beat the New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees 34-7 here in Seattle at cold and rainy Century Link Field. Hawk QB Russell Wilson threw for 310 yards and 3 touchdowns in front of the large and happy crowd at Century Link. Brees had one of his worse games in a long time and you can blame the Seattle D for that. It was a amazing game by the Seahawks.
I listened to a national sports show last night and he asked his listeners if the Seattle team and crowds are “cocky” I said ‘WHAT” That was a crazy question or comment! NO the Seahawks are not “cocky” and the fans are not “cocky” I call it being confident. The team and fans know they have a very good team that could do great things under head coach Pete Carroll.
Now the Hawks have to get ready for another big game in S.F. against the 49ers and former guest on “M.I.C-TV” Colin Kaepernick. That is going to be a great game and I can’t wait to watch the game. One thing for sure their will be a lot of Seahawk fans at Candlestick Park because when ever the Hawks play out of town, Hawk fans follow. Its crazy!
So we will continue to report on our Seattle Seahawks for our possible road to the Super Bowl! Gordon Curvey

By gordon on Nov 18, 2013 | In Basketball, Featured | Comments Off on I Have A Problem With the Actions Of J.R. Smith
ARTICLE FROM probasketballtalk.com (Click here for full story)
As a NBA and basketball junky I get tired of reading about negativity when it comes to players in the NBA. Of course their is more negativity with NFL players than NBA players but so what! Negativity is negativity!
One dude I am tired of reading negative crap is about is J.R. Smith of the New York Knicks. The fella needs to grow up and act like a mature gentleman who god has blessed to be in the NBA and make millions of dollars. I am tired of reading about stories in which Smith is in trouble. The question is when will it stop for Smith?
I read about Smith and negative stuff when he was dating or maybe dating Rihanna, read about Smith getting caught with bud, read about Smith using bad speech when it comes to NBA player Brandon Jennings. And more.
Jennings said that J.R.’s brother Craig should not be in the NBA. Smith’s brother is sitting on the bench for the Knicks. Smith saw what Jennings said and put him on blast on Twitter and said basically he was going to get some thugs to go after Jennings. Smith of course took the post down and said he was sorry. But he said what he said. Sorry my ass!! He meant it!!
Of course Smith was fined $25,000 by the NBA. This is not the first time Smith has been fined and the way he is acting it will not be the last until he changes his act. He needs to do it NOW. He needs to realize that young inner city kids see what he is doing with all the negative crap. If he has a mom and dad and grandmom they see what he is doing too.
It is time for J.R. Smith to change his act. Act like a man who is making millions in the NBA. Start a foundation for the youth. Go into the schools and talk to kids. Have a youth camp during the summer and more. Let’s hope this talented player will change his act. Have a comment? Holla back gcurvey@yahoo.com

By gordon on Nov 5, 2013 | In Featured | Comments Off on Lloyd McClendon Named New Seattle Mariner Manager
ARTICLE FROM sports.yahoo.com (Full story click here)
Tonight I was looking at stories for here at SIC and then BAM I see the headline that the new Seattle Mariner manager is Lloyd McClendon and I am kind of shocked readers. Real shocked.
I am not going to lie folks. I wanted Dusty Baker to be named the new manager of our Mariners. But AGAIN Baker did not even get a freakin interview by the Mariners. It happened in 2002 when the Mariners were seeking a new manager and then it happens again here in 2013. No interview for Baker. A man who has been named Manager of The Year three times and has taken teams to the playoffs.
McClendon has not taken any team to the playoffs. I am just trying to figure out WHY the Mariners have a problem with Dusty. Did Baker say he did not want to be in Seattle or did he say he did not want to manage right now? What is it? I just don’t understand folks.
But the Mariners have decided to hire McClendon. The other fellas in the running has never managed a major league team. Lloyd has. so when I saw his name as someone the Mariners was really looking at I thought Lloyd was just being used as a “token” African American so fans and the media can say the Mariners looked at a African American. But BOOM McClendon was hired. As a African American I am happy the Mariners are giving Lloyd a chance.
Baseball is a sport that is becoming void of African Americans on the field, in the front office and as managers and going to the games. Last year the Astros hired a African American manager and now the Mariners have done the same. It will be VERY interesting to see how sports radio here in Seattle feels about the hiring of McClendon. We will do a follow up story to let you know. Gordon Curvey

By gordon on Oct 23, 2013 | In Featured | Comments Off on Problems AGAIN With A Golf Channel Host And Tiger Woods
ARTICLE FROM usatoday.com (Full story click here
I am seeing a pattern here readers. And that pattern is certain people in the game of golf have a problem with Tiger Woods. And it seems a few of them work at the Golf Channel. The #1 player in the world has problems with this outlet. The question folks is why? What is REALLY going on?
The problems started with host Kelly Tilghman who in 2008 said that “Young players
who challenge Tiger Woods should lynch him in a back alley” Tilghman was suspended from the Golf Channel for two weeks after those terrible comments.
The latest situation is the Golf Network’s Brandel Chamblee said that Tiger is constantly cheating and breaking the rules on the course during a event. Now here is the problem.
This past season Tiger was told by the PGA that he “broke a rule” in a movement of a ball before he hit it and another incident. Check
this out. The PGA TOOK A CALL FROM SOMEONE WATCHING ON FREAKIN TV ABOUT THIS INCIDENT!! And Tiger was docked a couple of shots!!! THAT WAS CRAZY READERS!! And not only that WRONG for the PGA to do this to Tiger.
So Chamblee runs his big mouth about Tiger and Tiger’s lawyers are talking lawsuit against Chamblee for his motor mouth. So Chamblee has now said he is sorry to Tiger and to his millions of worldwide fans. And Chamblee was right to say he is sorry too. What he said concerning Tiger and his “cheating” was flat out bush league!!
This follows a year in which fellow golfer Sergio Garcia was in England at a event and made a so called joke about Tiger and fried chicken. It seems their are certain people who have a major problem with Tiger because he is rich and famous and the #1 player in the world who happens to be African American. This is just a fact folks! Let’s keep it real!
People need to get off of Tiger Wood’s jock!! What is the problem with the Golf Channel and Tiger? What is next? He ain’t going nowhere. He will continue to be great. Continue to win events. Stop all the negative actions against Tiger. Some of which are racist. Let’s enjoy Tiger for what he is. Maybe the greatest golfer of all time! Gordon Curvey
