Terrence Williams Needs To Get His Act Together

ARTICLE FROM cbssports.com (Full story click here)

I have saw online that Terrence Williams was sent down to the D-League by the New Jersey Nets because of his behavior and I am not surprised readers.

Williams who is from the Seattle area has a different kind of personality in my short dealings with him this past summer here in Seattle at fellow Seattle native Jamal Crawford’s Summer League games.

He seemed to me to be kind of arrogant or kind of full of himself. Like I am Terrence Williams and I am in the NBA kind of thing.

I went up to Terrence to get a few things for my TV and radio show (Music Inner City TV and Radio) and he looked at me like I was a little nobody. The next day at Crawford’s Summer League games I asked him again and he finally did a little something for my programs but he seemed like he did not want to.

I am saying this here on S.I.C. to say this. Guys like Williams need to realize where they are at. HE IS IN THE NBA WHERE MILLIONS OF BASKETBALL PLAYERS DREAM TO BE!! He is making millions of dollars to play basketball and provide for his family.

It seems Terrence Williams needs someone older than him like former NBA player John Lucus or Bob Lanier or maybe Shaq or hell even me. And sit him down and try to make him see that he is slowly blowing a promising NBA career. He cannot blame anyone but himself.

If Williams needs some real help, then I hope he asks for it and soon or he will find himself out of the NBA for sure and wondering if someone in the NBA will give him a chance. Or he will find himself playing overseas. I hope the trip down to the D-League will wake Williams up because he is a talented player but with a different kind of personality it seems. Gordon Curvey

The Mariners Should Sign Upton/He Will Help On The Field & Off

ARTICLE FROM seattlepi.com (Full story click here)

There is a buzz in baseball circles and around the Internet that my home town Seattle Mariners might be interested in signing young possible superstar Justin Upton of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

He is only 23 years old and is a five tool player or can be. He is young and quick. Yes he strikes out a lot but if you have watched him play you know he has the potential to be a big star.

Justin has had shoulder problems but that should stop the Mariners from trading for this young cat who has star written all over him.

Mariner GM Jack Zduriencik should do right thing and trade for Upton. Yes Seattle would most likely have to deal players like Micheal Pineda or Justin Smoak or Dustin Ackley but I think the payback would be worth it.

It would be a BIG move the Mariners need to build a winning team once again.  Also here is another point I want to bring to the table. Bringing in a young and exciting player like Upton who happens to be African American will help bring more African American fans to Safeco Field.

When you go to Safeco for a game you do not see to many black faces in the crowd besides the ushers and field crew. Upton can help in the community to help get young inner city kids interested in baseball again instead of football and basketball.

As a sports fan I hope the Seattle Mariners will sign Justin Upton. It will be a big move on the field and off the field also.

Will Micheal Vick Make Money Off The Field Again?

ARTICLE FROM forbes.com (Full story click here)

The question is will Micheal Vick make a comeback off the field just like he is doing on the field? As many sports fans know Mike Vick had a great great game against the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football recently and let everyone know the talent he has as a QB.

I still cannot get over what I saw in that game. Ex- NFL players like Steve Young cannot put into words the game Vick had against McNabb and the Skins. It was the best performance of a athelete I have ever seen.

Now will Vick’s performance this year so far on the field translate to cash money off the field in endorsements. Remember before the dog fighting situation, Vick was making millions on the field and off the field.

It seems Mike Vick is a changed man just like he is a changed QB. So will businesses hire Vick to do commercials like they used to do when he played for the Atlanta Falcons? I guess we will see.

All I know is I am glad to see Vick at the top of his game. Sports stars like Kobe, Brady, James, Vick and more is what makes sports worth watching. When you are watching Micheal Vick play you are always at the edge of your seat because you know you might see something very special.    Gordon Curvey

Derek Jeter Should Be PAID By The New York Yankees!

ARTICLE FROM si.com (Full story click here)

As a sports fan and a fan of Derek Jeter as a person and as a baseball player I think Jeter should get paid big time for the New York Yankees.

Jeter is a free agent right now as you may know he has spent his entire career as a Yankee and given his best on the field and off the field.

The dude is the true meaning of a professional. He reps the Yankees. He is the Yankees truth be told. When you think of the New York Yankees you think of Derek Jeter. If the Yankees “low ball” Jeter in a new contract offer that would be wrong in my opinion.

Yes he is older and may have lost some of his skills but I still think Derek Jeter should be paid real big by the Yankees. It is not because the team does not have the money. Of course they do!! So if that is the case then why not pay Jeter. And pay him good.

Derek Jeter should start and end his career as a Yankee. Let’s face it, can you picture Jeter in a another uniform? I can’t.   Gordon Curvey

Watch LeBron James New Nike Commercial/The Question Is Why?

ARTICLE FROM bvx.com (Full story and video click here)

If you have not seen the new Nike commercial with LeBron James it is right here. Just click the link above to see the commercial.

Here is the question. Why was this commercial made? What is James trying to prove? What is his point in this commercial? When he made the bed he is sleeping in. It is his fault. He cannot blame no one but himself.

He is the one who treated his Akron roots like dirt. The fans of Cleveland like dirt. The owner of the Cavs like dirt. I am not a fan of James anymore.

Yes he most likely is the best player in the NBA along with “Black Mumba” Kobe Bryant. But I just do not like the way James handled his departure from Cleveland. It was just wrong in my opinion.

So he makes this commercial to get back at Charles Barkley and M.J. who blasted James for the way he had a hour long ESPN special and more.

I love the NBA. I am happy as hell the season has started. But I hope the Miami Heat suffers all season long.
