I have never wanted to sit and watch pre-season Seattle Seahawks games like I have this year because of the QB battle between Matt Flynn and Russell Wilson and I guess Tarvaris Jackson.
For some reason T-Jack has not played one down in pre-season games so far. But again for some reason he has worked with the 1st team offense in training camp workouts. I don’t understand what head coach Pete Carroll is doing with Jackson. Will he be traded? Will he get cut? Who knows. This is crazy readers.
One thing that is happening is Russell Wilson is a baller. He can play. In a lot of folks opinion he is out playing starter Matt Flynn in pre-season games so far. Yes he is playing against second string defense when he comes in the game. But I do not care readers. Wilson is out playing Matt Flynn so in the pre-season. He really is.
He has shown that he can run with the ball and toss a TD. And he has made good decisions with the football when he faces pressure which scores points to most football fans and hopefully coaches. Flynn has looked good too. In the Denver game he played good. He threw a perfect pass to T.O. that should have been a TD but Owens dropped the ball.
Again Flynn has played well and yes he has played against and with starters and Wilson has not, but in my opinion and others, Wilson has played better. He has impressed everyone. That is for sure.
Now there is a debate at least among fans. Should Russell Wilson start the next pre-season game and play with the first time offense? To many the answer is YES. He should be given a chance to player with the first team. It should happen so we can see what he can do. It is only fair. Of course sports radio hosts in town like Dave “Softy” Mahler and others will most likely continue to say Matt Flynn should continue to start.
So again I am looking to watching the next pre-season Seattle Seahawk game. And again, what in the hell is going to happen to T-Jack? He is well liked by the players that is for sure. Will he play in the pre-season or will he get cut or traded to another team? This is a strange situation for Coach Pete Carroll and hell the fans too! Let’s see what happens. Gordon Curvey
“Sports Inner City Online”/”Music Inner City TV” was in the house at Seahawk training came this past week and did short interviews with Seahawk players LeRoy Hill, Marcus Trufaunt, Golden Tate, Micheal Robinson, Sidney Rice and others! Shout out to the Seahawks for their help and support.

One thing for sure, while the Seattle Mariners continue to have one sad season after another, “King Felix” continues to win and stay on top. He is a GREAT pticher and we are lucky to have this dude here in Seattle. And today (Aug 15th) he proved why we are lucky to have him here in Seattle.
Because Felix Hernandez pitched the first perfect game in Mariner history against the Tampa Rays here in Safeco Field. I was working on producing my next “Music Inner City TV” TV show and had ESPN on they had breaking news about Felix. So I turned on Root Sports and watched the end of the game. Man it was off the hook to watch this young man get the final outs for his perfect game while the crowd cheered. It was great.
Keep in mind folks, we have nothing to cheer about most of the time when it comes to the Seattle Mariners. Year after year fans go to beautiful Safeco Field to watch a terrible team. Most fans go the game just to hang out, drink beer and maybe knit a sweater or something. Or to root for the Yankees or Red Sox when they come to our city. Thank god for Felix.
Hernandez is the ONLY reason I watch the Seattle Mariners. And most fans feel like I do. Most of the time he is pitching with no run support. I hope that Felix will want to stay in Seattle. He can ask for a trade at any time. But it seems he loves Seattle and it’s fans. Shout out to “King Felix” for the first perfect game in the history of the Mariners. Now can we go to the freakin playoffs one damn year!!! Gordon Curvey

“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
I was wondering why jocks on sports radio KJR and 710 ESPN seemed so happy today over the air. Well I found out why later when Seattle Seahawks head coach Peter Carroll names Matt Flynn starting QB in the Hawks first pre-season game this weekend. Rookie Russell Wilson will play the second half.
But for some reason QB Tarvaris Jackson will not play at all. The question is why? I do not understand why T-Jack is not playing. It is very strange to me but one thing is for sure many Seahawk fans and sports media are very happy about Jackson not playing.
Also the Hawks signed one of the all time greatest players in NFL history, Terrell Owens to a one year contract. People on sports radio were wondering why the Hawks signed the 38 year old T.O. They say he is a clown and other names and he is a player who only cares about T.O. and that’s it.
Well I guess we will see if T.O. has anything left in the coming weeks. I hope T.O. will make the team and help our team to some wins this coming season.
Because even at his advanced age T.O. could help the Seahawks. He keeps himself in great shape. Everyone knows how he works out and stays in shape. And he can help the younger players on the team. They can watch a player like T.O. and learn from him each and every day in practice and the games.

“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon E. Curvey
Yes Floyd “Money” Mayweather was let out of jail the other day after serving two months of a six month misdemeanor domestic battery case. He served it at Clark County Detention Center in Vegas. While in jail Mayweather complained about the conditions in jail like the food, lack of exercise etc. Yo Money IT IS JAIL MY BROTHA NOT YOUR BIG HUGE MANSION!!
Floyd is used to driving his Bentley’s and Rolls and having steaks and lobster for dinner. You cannot have that in jail. When I heard about Money complaining about his jail conditions I just laughed big time. I guess he has not watched the jail programs on MSNBC on the weekend.
One thing for sure, Money has a lot of money. He made more money that any sports star in 2011 making $85 million. Remember Floyd Mayweather has not been beat in the ring. While he was in jail, Manny Pacquiao got beat by Tim Bradley. Everyone wants to see a Pacman-Money fight even if Manny took a loss. Fight fans want to see this fight happen. But I think they need a tune up fight before they meet in the ring.
Manny is a free man now. What is he going to do with his life? One thing is for sure he cannot fight for ever. He is 35 years old. Hopefully he will not go on fighting into his 40’s like “Hitman” Hearns, Larry Holmes, George Forman and Bernard Hopkins and Evander Holyfield. He has made millions and millions of dollars. More than he could dream of and the question is this. Will he spend all his money and end up broke like Letrell Sprewell and others?
I hope Mayweather has learned his lesson. I hope jail has made him a better man. And that he will treat the ladies right. His father right aand people around his right. He is a intelligent man. Starting now, let’s see what direction Money will go in.
