Wilson Looks Better Than Flynn Again In Pre-Season Game

ARTICLE FROM seattletimes.com (Full story click here)

I have never wanted to sit and watch pre-season Seattle Seahawks games like I have this year because of the QB battle between Matt Flynn and Russell Wilson and I guess Tarvaris Jackson.

For some reason T-Jack has not played one down in pre-season games so far. But again for some reason he has worked with the 1st team offense in training camp workouts. I don’t understand what head coach Pete Carroll is doing with Jackson. Will he be traded? Will he get cut? Who knows. This is crazy readers.

One thing that is happening is Russell Wilson is a baller. He can play. In a lot of folks opinion he is out playing starter Matt Flynn in pre-season games so far. Yes he is playing against second string defense when he comes in the game. But I do not care readers. Wilson is out playing Matt Flynn so in the pre-season. He really is.

He has shown that he can run with the ball and toss a TD. And he has made good decisions with the football when he faces pressure which scores points to most football fans and hopefully coaches. Flynn has looked good too. In the Denver game he played good. He threw a perfect pass to T.O. that should have been a TD but Owens dropped the ball.

Again Flynn has played well and yes he has played against and with starters and Wilson has not, but in my opinion and others, Wilson has played better. He has impressed everyone. That is for sure.

Now there is a debate at least among fans. Should Russell Wilson start the next pre-season game and play with the first time offense? To many the answer is YES. He should be given a chance to player with the first team. It should happen so we can see what he can do. It is only fair. Of course sports radio hosts in town like Dave “Softy” Mahler and others will most likely continue to say Matt Flynn should continue to start.

So again I am looking  to watching the next pre-season Seattle Seahawk game. And again, what in the hell is going to happen to T-Jack? He is well liked by the players that is for sure. Will he play in the pre-season or will he get cut or traded to another team? This is a strange situation for Coach Pete Carroll and hell the fans too! Let’s see what happens.  Gordon Curvey

“Sports Inner City Online”/”Music Inner City TV” was in the house at Seahawk training came this past week and did short interviews with Seahawk players LeRoy Hill, Marcus Trufaunt, Golden Tate, Micheal Robinson, Sidney Rice and others! Shout out to the Seahawks for their help and support.
