Let me start by saying this. I was never happy with the hiring of Coach Sark. This dude coached highly talented players at SC so his team won a lot of games and it was not all because of him.

When Sarkisian was hired, some sports writers in L.A. were amazed. Because they knew that some of Sark’s players with SC had problems with him and turned on him. If you don’t believe me do your homework like I did.

Of course anything was a improvement over former head coach Willingham but the choice of hiring Sark I have never liked and after last night being blasted by the Cats it shows me again he ain’t the right head coach to be with the Huskies.

I am tired of watching Oregon and now Oregon State in the polls and we are nowhere in sight. Last night I saw UW players not putting out on the field. This is a flat out no-no. Like Jerry Brewer of the Seattle Times says, why is it we cannot win on the road and are record at home is not the greatest under Sark. Right now we are 3-4. As a Husky fan I am not happy with this record.

I just listened to the most “soft” postgame radio show I have EVER heard on KJR with Dave Mahler, Dick Beard and Hugh Millan. We just got beat 52-17 and I heard the hosts and callers just talk about the play of Kieth Price and hardly any talk of the job of the head coach. The question is WHY??

In my STRONG opinion Dave Mahler and Beard and Hugh are TREATING COACH SARK WITH KID’S GLOVES!! Letting him walk on water. It is time to look at the job the head coach is doing at the UW. The time is NOW!! Just like they looked at the job Willingham did. Do it with Sark!!

Of course when Ty was here, a African American, he was blasted by Mahler and Hugh (not really by Beard, he never blasts anyone) and callers but Sark who is white is getting treated very lightly in my opinion. I am sorry readers, this is how I feel. You white folks may disagree but that’s OK.

It is time for Steve Kelly, Jerry Brewer, sports radio hosts and all other sports writers AND fans to look at the job the head coach is doing and ask why? Why is it we cannot beat Oregon. And look VERY bad at it? The Beavers are doing very well and we are not? Why is it we got beat by a team with a TERRIBLE defense?

Oh yeah I don’t want to hear about injuries because guess what? The Cats have had the same freakin problems and they BLEW US OUT 52-17!!

Yes UW has done a little better under Sarkisian but as a Husky fan for a long time, not good enough. It is time for all Tyee members and the UW athletic dept to look at the job of Sark. They cannot be happy with the job he is doing. Cannot. We are not Idaho or Fresno State or Vermont, we are the University of Washington. We should be better.

If the Beavers beat us and we do not look good again, I think it will be time to look at the future of Sark as the head coach of the University Of Washington.   Gordon Curvey

Here is a story of Miami Heat superstar LeBron James. Rumors are going around that James may leave the Heat in 2014 and move his talents to the west coast and join the Los Angeles Lakers when Kobe Bryant retires.

Kobe has said he is going to retire after next year. James has come out and said he is a Miami Heat and is planning to stay a Miami Heat. But as we all know talk is cheap and money talks right? When his contract ends with the Heat he could be offered a deal from the Lakers he cannot pass up. It could happen.

BREAKING NEWS: LB Ray Lewis has suffered a complete triceps tear in the Ravens game against the Cowboys and is out for the season.

As a sports fan I am upset but also happy about our Seattle Seahawks win over the Tom Brady led New England Pats. Here is why readers. I am upset because of all the freakin negativity but motor mouth talk shows hosts here in Seattle on sports radio KJR. (Pic from Seattle PI)

Guys like sports jock Dave Mahler and ex pro QB and ex University of Washington QB Hugh Millan. These two on a constant basis has blasted the choice of Seahawk head coach Pete Carrroll to start rookie QB Russell Wilson over a “so called” vet in Matt Flynn who the Hawks signed for some reason to a big off-season contract.

Millan was so upset by Carroll choice of Wilson over Flynn that he called Russell “A TEACHER’S PET” over the air!!! Yes he did that. And he did it more than once. And his good buddy Dave Mahler joined Hugh and many many sports radio callers and blasted the choice of Russell starting over Flynn. On a daily basis Mahler went over board talking about his dude Matt Flynn and why he should start over Wilson. He constantly used the words “#15” which is Flynn’s jersery number.

But guys like myself and KJR sports jock Brian Abker and others never took away our support of Russell. We knew that this kid Wilson is a very talented QB as well as a very intelligent young man who did one thing. He beat out Matt Flynn after the pre-season. It is just that simple.

Wilson is a player who was and is one of the first to get on the practice field in the morning and one of the last to leave practice in the afternoon and watched hours and hours of video etc. I guess Flynn did not do this. Guys like Dave Mahler and Hugh Millan CONSTANTLY brought up the fact the Matt Flynn threw for 6 TD’s and 400 something yards when he was with the Packers. I got TIRED of hearing it!!

I hope guys like Mahler and Millan can get off the Matt Flynn bandwagon and join us on the Russell Wilson bandwagon and support Russell Wilson. I don’t want to hear about a second string QB in Matt Flynn. Let me repeat….a second string QB. I want to hear about Russell Wilson, Sidney Rice and the great Seahawk D and winning games and the 12th man at Century Link.

Knowing Mahler he will continue to not fully get on the Wilson bandwagon and STILL support his dude Matt Flynn. And if he and other fans want to be stupid and do that then so be it. I was on the Russell Wilson bandwagon during pre-season and now after his performance of 16-27 and 293 yards and going toe to toe with a first ballot Hall Of Famer in Tom Brady, I hope thousands of others will join me and KJR’s Brian Abker and 710 ESPN jocks Jim Moore and Mike Salk and thousands of other fans and realize that Russell Wilson is for real.   Real talk!!! I have been holding back on my feelings on this topic but after watching “Open Court” on NBA-TV I can no longer hold back. The big fella Shaquille O’Neal is flat out jealous of Dwight Howard. Period.  Shaq needs to stop hating on Howard!!

On “Open Court” hosted by Ernie Johnson, the guests were Shaq, Charles Barkley, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, Steve Smith, new Hall Of Fame member Reggie Miller, Chris Webber and Steve Kerr. It is a great show for those of you who love the sport of baskeball like I do. I am a hoop junky. I love the game. It is my favorite sport by far. One thing I hate about getting older is I can’t play full court like I used to.

On the season opener EJ asked who is the best center in the NBA today. Everyone said Dwight Howard except Shaq. Shaq said BROOKE LOPEZ!!! let me repeat BROOKE LOPEZ. He also said Andrew Bynum. Not Howard. SAY WHAT?? What is Shaq smoking or drinking?

How on earth can Shaq say Brooke Lopez and Bynum over the most dominate big man in the gmae today? Shaq is just flat out wrong. He is just HATIN on Howard because he is with the Lakers now and at one time he called himself Superman”.

Remember the dunk contest? He had a Superman outfit on. I think that is when Shaq started to hate Howard because Shaq called himself Supermen too.

Kenny Smith said Howard may be trying to be too much like Shaq with his personality etc. Reggie Miller even said Shaq may be jealous of Howard now. WOW Reggie really said that!! Barkley, Mliller, Kenny, Kerr, C-Webb and Smith went back and forth with Shaq saying Howard is the best center in the NBA today but Shaq did not change his mind. He still said Brooke Lopez and Andrew Bynum were the best centers in the NBA. What??

Shaq has recently made other negative comments concerning Howard. The question is why? Howard said it best. Shaq’s time is over. He is retired as one the best players of all time.  It is Howard’s time. He is a L.A. Laker. It is time for Shaq to support Dwight. Maybe offer him a few workouts and help him with his inside game. It is time for Shaquille O’Neal to stop hatin on Dwight Howard. Support the fella!!!
