People in the sports world are asking this question. Should Sean “Diddy” Combs son Justin take a full football scholarship from UCLA? I say no. I think this is wrong.
Justin is the same young man who was given a 16th birthday of a $360,000 silver Mayback car by his father! Diddy is worth a half a BILLION!! Why should Justin take a $54,000 scholarship when his daddy is so rich? Should someone who really needs the ride from UCLA obtain the scholarship? I think so.
There are families out here who are trying to put food on the table, gas in their car, trying to pay their rent and medical bills etc. Justin does not have to worry about none of this. It is great that Justin is a great student and a good football player but I just do not think he should get the scholarship. This is just my opinion. Gordon Curvey

I am here to tell you that my hometown’s trading of future superstar Adam Jones was the worst trade in Seattle Mariner history. And I do not understand why they did it. They made the trade for basically obtaining piticher Erik Berdard. What is Berdard doing these days readers? Nothing really. He is playing for the terrible Pirates.
Jones just signed a new contract with the Baltimore Orioles. A six year-$85.5 million contract with a $2 million signing bonus. Cat is set for life big time!
Adam Jones is a many tool player. Hit for power, steals bases, hit for average, can throw out runners with a strong arm and more. The Orioles have a center fielder for years and years because Jones is only 26 years old. His baseball future is still ahead of him.
He is also a role model for young African American kids in the inner city. So they can grow up to be just like Jones and Prince Fielder and CeCe Sabithia etc. The Mariners have only Chone Figgins on their team that is a African American but Figgins has become a bench warmer with a huge contract. He just has not done a good job. Real talk.
MLB needs more African American young stars like Adam Jones. I think the Mariners made a TERRIBLE move in trading Adam Jones. Now he is getting PAID in Baltimore. Why did the Mariners trade Jones? It is beyond me readers! Beyond me. Good luck to Adam Jones. Wish he was a Seattle Mariners so we can watch him grow up as a player and a person just like ex Sonic Kevin Durent of OKC. Gordon Curvey

Many of you basketball fans saw the NBA playoff battle between the L.A. Lakers and the OKC Thunder. Of course you know OKC is our Seattle Sonics. The Sonics left here in Seattle in 2008. As a sports fan I will NEVER get over the day our NBA left our city. The 13th or 14th largest radio and TV market to the 45th or so market.
But I will say this. The Thunder fans really support their hometown team. They really do. But having that, we here in Seattle supported our Sonics too. FOR 41 YEARS!!!! Hopefully we can get a new arena build and get another NBA team back to where it belongs!!
Anyway as a NBA fan I watch the very talented Andrew Bynum and shake my head. I am trying to figure out the young fella. I say to myself Bynum can be one of the best players in the NBA. But the young fella mind wonders when he is not getting the ball and his mind wonders off to dinner after the game or being with his lady or something.
You can say that you can understand where Andrew is coming from because I watched time and time again the big fella work hard to get postion down in the low post only to have Kobe Bryant toss up a forced shot from 22 ft.
When that happens over and over to Bynum he stops working hard for position and just stands around watching Kobe do his thing. He does not try to rebound. He just becomes another big body on the court. It is a huge problem for the Lakers now that they have been put out of the playoffs in the second round two years in row after winning the title two years in a row.
So this is a problem that has Laker fans thinking what should the Lakers do with Andrew. Should they trade him and Pau Gasol and go after Dwight Howard this summer? Should they keep Bynum and trade Gasol? What should L.A. do in the N.B.A. off season? Well we will see soon. In the meantime I think Bynum should come up to Seattle and hang out with NBA legend Bill Russell who stays in our area and get some knowledge from Mr. Russell about life. And also work with and talk with the leading scorer in the history of the NBA, another legendary big man Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
I think it will help the big fella who is only 24 years old. I hope he will do that. Gordon Curvey

No matter what you feel about Lebron James as to how he left the Cavs and went to Miami to win hopefully win titles, you have to admit he is a great player and one of the best players of all time in the NBA.
He just won his just third MVP award. His award was given to him by David Stern before game #1 of the second round game between the Heat and Pacers in Miami.
James is a good dude. He do not hear about him hanging out in clubs at 4am or hear about him hitting his lady etc.
He is a father to his kids and good family man and teammate. He is a good dude.
Remember this readers. He is 6-8 and about 260 and dribbles like Magic Johnson or a point guard. His only short comings as a player is his post game inside and sometimes his 3 pointers.
So let’s see if James and D-Wade and Bosh can win a title this year in the NBA. It should be very interesting! Gordon Curvey
