Of course last year was last year but it was a BIG BIG year of course for our city of Seattle and the Seattle Seahawks in winning the Super Bowl against Payton Manning and the Denver Broncos in very cold New York.

It is something I will never ever forget. Our city winning a second world title. Our dearly departed Seattle Sonics won the NBA title in 1979 led by “Downtown” Freddie Brown and “The Wizard” Gus Williams and Hall Of Fame member “D.J.” the late Dennis Johnson and Jack Sikma and coached by Hall Of Famer Lenny Wilkens.

I can now say that the Seahawks are rounding into “a playoff state of mind” after winning their SECOND GAME IN A ROW BY THE SAME SCORE 19-3. They beat Arizona 19-3 and beat the 49ers on Thanksgiving Day 19-3 in the Bay Area. With Russell Wilson going 15-22 for 236 and a TD. And Marshawn “Beastmode” Lynch running 20 times for 104 yards and Richard Sherman getting two ints! It was a great win.

Seattle is now sitting pretty at 8-4 and in the running for a wild card position. But we have some very tough games ahead including the 49ers again and next week we play the Eagles in Philly with a QB for Philly who is playing well in Mark Sanchez. This will be a very tough game to win.

But the Seahawks are playing “Super Bowl” type of football again. It helps big time to get Bobby Wagner back on D and of course Sherman and Earl Thomas are playing at Pro Bowl levels. So look out NFL..the Seattle Seahawks are comin!!!

After the game Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson enjoyed a turkey leg just like Coach Madden used to do when he was broadcasting Thanksgiving Day games. The winner always had a player or two enjoy some turkey. YOU KNOW 49er fans did not like that on their home field and for sure Hall Of Famer and ex 49er great Jerry Rice was not happy about that. Well guess what Jerry? Your team should have won!!
