Inner City Kids Enjoy MLB All Star Weekend In St. Louis

P.S. It is great that MLB is stepping up to allow inner city kids to be in St. Louis to enjoy the MLB All Star Weekend.
It is great that the Jr. RBI League and RBI league is stepping up to help get inner city kids interested in baseball again BUT their needs to be much more readers.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. African American youth are just not playing baseball after little league. They are playing football and basketball and running track.
Why is this happening? Why are young inner city kids not playing baseball? Why is it when I watch my home town team the Seattle Mariners I do not see young inner city kids at Safeco Field?
Pro baseball needs to do more to reach inner city kids about the game of baseball. These kids do not have Ryan Howard or Torii Hunter or Jermaine Dye pictures on their wall. They have Kobe, D-Wade and Reggie Bush. This is a problem. Kids don;t run home to watch the MLB All Star game like they do the NBA All Star game. Gordon Curvey
