I woke up this morning here in my hometown of Seattle, got my cup of coffee and went to the Internet to ready to read about our Seattle Seahawks in the NFL playoffs against the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday and BAM all hell broke out!

Big time stories came out online and on sports radio about the possible return of the NBA to the city of Seattle as soon as next fall at Key Arena. The team coming here would be the Sacramento Kings. A big smile came over my face because my favorite sport might be coming back to town! Yes their are rumors of possible new buyers for the Kings. But as the legendary Rev. Jesse Jackson has said for decades….I am keeping hope alive!

As you may know, billionaire Chris Hansen is working with Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer to bring the Sonics back to a city it left in 2008 after FOUTY ONE YEARS. Our Sonics became the Oklahoma Thunder. With budding superstar in Kevin Durant. Hansen has bought millions of dollars work of land to build a brand new arena where the Sonics will play in a few years.

Until then the Sonics would play in the Key Arena. Of course the city of Sacramento will not go down without a fight. The mayor of Sac-Town is a 13 year NBA vet Kevin Johnson. KJ was a great point guard when he played. He said today he will do what ever he can to try to keep his hometown team in the city. And being a ex NBA baller you know he will do just that. That is for sure readers.

But the owner of the Kings, the Maloof brother’s need the cash. The lost a business in Vegas and owe the city of Sacramento money. The selling price of the Kings is said to be around $500 million. So I guess the brother’s can use the cash. Yes, they would not own the Kings but on the other hand they a half a billion.

So we here in Seattle are on pens and needles. Waiting to see if the deal will go down so we can see Lebron, Kobe, Melo, Dirk, Durant, and other NBA stars as well as the many Seattle area natives who are playing in the NBA like Jamal Crawford, Jason Terry, Nate Robinson, Ishiah Thomas, Rodney Stukey, Spencer Hawes, Montell Webster, Aaaron Brooks and others.
