Tiger Woods Wins Jack’s Event For the 5th Time!

As a sports fan today was a happy day because I watched Tiger Woods be Tiger Woods again and win the Memorial event ran by the great “Golden Bear” Jack Nicklaus. The event was held in Dublin, Ohio.

Woods started the day four down but you could tell he was going to win the event.  With Jack watching on I just knew Tiger was going to come from behind and win. And that is what happened. Cats started to tell that Tiger was on the prowl and they played afraid of him just like a few years ago.

At age 36, Woods is tied with “The Golden Bear” with 73 wins on the PGA tour for second all-time. Sam Snead is leading with 84 wins. Nicklaus was 46 win he on his 73rd event.

So Tiger of course is going to pass Jack and maybe Sam Snead also. But will he catch up with with Jack with 18 grand slam wins? We will see. But it looks like Tiger is back and golf fans as well as ABC and CBS and NBC and ESPN should be happy. Because when Tiger is winning or near the lead up goes the ratings! That is real.   Gordon Curvey
