Wow what a HUGE story! I think this might be a start to help get young African American youth interested in the sport called baseball. Because NBA Hall Of Fame member and five time NBA champ Ervin “Magic” Johnson is now a owner of the Los Angele
s Dodgers.
The sale is for two BILLION dollars. Let me repeat two BILLION dollars!! Please read the above story for all the inside details of the deal.
I am just happy to see a African American as a owner of a major sports team in the United States. Magic is joined by others who are owners also. It’s a team of people who are involved. Of course Micheal Jordan owns te terribel Charlette Hornets. MJ needs to do shake something up BIG TIME with the Bobcats.
As a African American, I am VERY happy to see Magic as a owner of the LA Dodgers. He is a winner. A TREMENDOUS businessman and I think of “showtime” when I think of Magic Johnson.
When I go to games at Safeco Field here in Seattle I just see white faces in the stands. The marketing of baseball in Seattle to the inner city is flat out terrible.
The marketing of baseball on a national basis to inner cities is terrible. With Magic a owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers it can only help baseball as a whole as far as I concerned to get more inner city kids involved in playing baseball.
Big shout out to Magic. This is a big day in sports. Gordon Curvey
