African American managers are not being hired. Just look at what is going on. Ron Washington and Dusty Baker and that’s it? Come on sports fans. Something is big time wrong.
Guys like Robin Ventura and Terry Collins can get hired. Yes the GM of the White Sox is African American but so what? What was he thinking? Why didn’t he realize that their is a lack of African Americans managing teams in baseball?
Do other GM’s realize that African American managers are not being hired? Do they know that the “good ole boy network” is going on big time? Are they looking around?
Guys like Bo Porter, Don Baylor, Willie Randolph, Davey Lopes, Lloyd McClendon, Jerry Royster, Jerry Manuel, Hal McRae, Demarlo Hale and Seattle Mariner batting coach Chris Chambliss are not being hired or re-hired so what is really going on readers?
Please don’t say “the best qualified is being hired” that is wrong! I hope people toss this issue to Commissioner Bud Selig. Yo Bud what is really on? Gordon Curvey
