Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown, head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats said Allen Iverson should be treated much better than what he is being treated right now.
Iverson is thinking about taking a $2 million offer from a team in Turkey. A.I. is 35 years old and wants to play and finish his career in the NBA.
But NBA teams do not want to offer Iverson a try out. This is WRONG!! Allen can still play and can help a team win a championship.
The problem is A.I. has started all his career. So the question is can he be on a team and come off the bench? This is why I think teams are afraid of Iverson.
You cannot tell me Iverson can’t help Miami or Boston or Orlando or even the Lakers. He can help those teams and others.
If Steve Nash and Marcus Camby and Jason Kidd and others can still play at 35 and help a team how come Iverson can’t?
As a tremendous fan of Allen Iverson, I agree with Coach Brown. He should not end his career with a team in far away Turkey. That just should not happen. Period. I hope a NBA team will sign Iverson and I hope A.I. can drop his ego and accept coming off the bench. Gordon Curvey
