P.S I have always had a problem when people call African Americans or people a color a “thug” This word is ALWAYS used by the majority race against people of color.
It seems to me if a African American or a person of color has tattoos or corn rows they are automatic “thug” by a lot of folks. The question is why?
What makes Kenyan Martin a “thug” by the Dallas fans of Dallas or anyone? Is it because he has a bunch of tattoos all over him? Or is it he made a playoff type foul on Big Nirk?
So if that is the case is the “Birdman” Anderson on the Nuggets a “thug” He has a body full of tatoos. Does that make him a “thug” readers?
I will tell you what “thugs” are. They are certain players in the NHL who constantly get in fights on the ice during games. I don’t here them being called “thugs”
So why does Cuban and the fans call Martin a “thug”? That word is a code word. Instead of the “n” word, they are “thugs.” Cuban pointed at Martin’s mom and said what he said as he stormed off the court. Dude was wrong and out of pocket!!
Where Cuban stepped over the line is saying to Martin’s MOM her son is a “thug” and a “punk” He stepped way over the line!! As a owner Cuban is out of control.
He sits behind the team shouting a refs etc. And if something goes wrong against the Maverick’s, sometimes he steps on the court etc.
It is one thing to own the team and be passionate for his team and it is another think to be out of control like Cuban is.
Calling Martin a “thug” and a “punk” to Martin’s mom is WAY OVER THE LINE!!! And he needs to say he is sorry to Martin’s mom and to Kenyon Martin. He is not a “thug” or a “punk”. Cuban is the one who is a punk!! G.C

P.S What has happened to the NBA I love? All these calls by the refs to “soften” up the game. The refs do not remember the NBA playoffs back in the day.
I remember seeing the “Bad Boys” roughing up MJ in the playoffs. The had a rule called the “Jordan Rule” Which means no easy dunks or fantastic plays in the key without a hard foul by Rodman or Big Bill or or other Pistons.
By the way, the Pistons were coached by the late Chuck Daly who recently passed away.
I remember seeing the hard foul by Kevin McHale against Kurt Rambis back in the day. And on and on. But these days the NBA refs are calling the games to tight.
Let the players play!!! It is the NBA playoffs. Let Ron Artest and others play their game. What is up with all the flagrant 1 and 2 fouls with Stu Jackson looking at everything in the NBA office for possible suspensions.
I am not saying I want the NBA to turn into the NHL with all the fighting. Just let the players play. The NBA is a man’s game. Let them be men. G.C.

P.S I hate to use this site to blast my “people of color” but in this case I have too. Manny Ramirez is a for real knucklehead for being caught using performance drugs!!! What a clown. What a fool!!
I just cannot believe Manny would do this. I can’t believe A-Rod would do it. I can’t believe any MLB player would take a chance to use something that is illegal to help them hit more homers etc.
What I am really tired of is these clowns lying about it. Saying they did not know etc. What do they think we are a bunch of dummies? I am not.
Manny being Manny? The hell with that!! This is Manny being a fool!! And to top it off readers, he is getting $8 million cut from his salary while he is suspended. In his case this is a $8 million dollar fine!!! Unreal!!
So we have A-Rod and Manny as far as BIG MLB players being caught. Who in the hell is next? We should not be surprised anymore when a big player is caught cheating.
A-Rod is coming back & I want to see how the fans are going to treat him at home and on the road. It will be very interesting to see what happens.
It will be interesting for sure here in Seattle where A-Rod started his career. It will be interesting in Cleveland and Boston and LA for Manny when he returns.
Manny and A-Rod are two fools. They are suppose to role models for young kids. Kids have Manny and Alex’s poster’s on their walls. Yo kids you have permission to take them down because they are no longer role models. They are cheaters. Gordon Curvey

P.S Cleveland’s LeBron James deserves to win this years MVP award in the NBA. He had a great season leading the Cavs.
I watched the press conference in which James was presented the MVP trophy and it was great, He did not have notes. His comments were from the heart and winning the award and how tight his teammates are. He even gave his Cavs teammates gifts.
He thanked his mom, uncles, friends, he thanked everyone. He said the award is his teammates award too because he thinks team first.
Here is a thought. Why is it athletes always thank their moms all the time and not their dads? Nothing against moms of course but it seems African American dads do not get praise in press conferences etc.
Is it because the dads are no shows or not around? If so the question is why? I feel a young girl and boy growing up need their fathers in their life as well as mom.
Like Tiger had his dad, Serena and Venus have their dad etc. Fathers need to be fathers in their kids up bringing. Just a thought. Gordon Curvey

PS If you are a sports fan and a boxing fan like I am, you knew Mayweather Jr. was coming back to fight again in the ring.
He was just to young to walk away from boxing. And their is to much money to be made. So it is no surprise that he is coming back to fight.
It seems some boxers don’t know when to retire though. Case in point, former heavyweight champ Greg Page recently died from boxing related injuries. He was 50. And had just fought a fight.
And I am happy because Floyd Jr. still is a big name in boxing and we need big names after Oscar retired form boxing.
We need Mayweather and other big names to keep boxing alive. I wish the heavyweights can come back with some big fights like back in the day. There is no Tyson or Holmes or Ali, Frazier or Forman etc. Where the big heavyweight title fights?
For some reason which I cannot explain, the heavyweight division is dominated by Russian fighters. Nothing against Russians because I have people from Russia visiting Music Inner City Online (www.musicinnercity.com) and right here at Sports Inner City Online, but I want to see a big heavyweight title fight between American fighters again.
Anyway, glad Floyd Mayweather Jr. Is back again to fight. G.C
