Pacers Having Financial Problems

ARTICLE FROM pacers.com (Full story click here)

P.S I see that the Bobcats are doing a little better with more fans attending the games and I have to find out about Memphis. Memphis and Charlotte were two other teams that have been mentioned as two other teams that are not doing good at the gate etc.

In my mind the Pacers will not leave. Basketball is the sport in Indiana. I just can’t see them leaving. But then again I never thought the Sonics would depart. And they did.

Of course we will not get another team until we update Key Arena. This is a fact.

We will keep you posted on the Pacers and their financial problems. Gordon Curvey

President Obama Picks His Final Four

PRESIDENT OBAMA NAMES HIS PICKS FOR NCAA TOURNAMENT

President Barack Obama who is a big time basketball fan and plays every morning has picked his choices for the Final Four in the NCAA Basketball tournament.

And his choice are Louisville, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Memphis.

With all the problems going on in the U.S economy etc, how can the President take time to watch the games or will he be to busy?

But President Obama loves ballin and loves basketball so some how someway he will watch a game or two in the White House or on tape in Air Force One because I think I saw he is going to California for a few events.

By the way, at the time of this writing, our Washington Huskies are on their way to Portland, Oregon to play Mississippi State. We hope Head Coach Lorenzo Romar and his team the best.

I think Louisville will take it all this year. Well it is about that time to toss it up!! Gordon Curvey

Washington To Play Mississippi St. In NCAA Tourney

ARTICLE FROM seattletimes.com

The Huskies from here in Seattle play Mississippi State on Thursday near home in Portland. At the time of writing this, I do not know to much about the Bulldogs other than they have a real skinny fella at center blocks a lot of shots.

We here in Seattle were wishing for a “cream puff” team to play but the Huskies are happy to be playing so they have to play the hand they are dealt.

They are very lucky to be playing a couple of hours from Seattle so a lot of Husky fans will make the trip to Portland to cheer on the team.

Big shout out to Head Coach Lorenzo Romar and the job he has done at the UW. He is a first class gentlemen and a real good coach.

Kind of funny, last year around here all the sports reporters were talking about Washington State’s Tony Bennett like he was John Wooden. I don’t hear the same talk when it comes to Coach Romar this year.

But anyway we will follow the NCAA games and the UW Huskies right here at Sports Inner City Online!! Gordon Curvey

Pacman Says Strip Club Lifestyle Is In The Past

ARTICLE FROM nbcsports.com (Full story click here)

As a sports fan I hope Adam “Pacman” Jones problems are behind him. He is a talented player who can help a NFL team IF he is given another chance.

I hope he has learned his lesson. How many chances does a fella need to learn a lesson. DON’T BE AT A NIGHTCLUB AT 2am!!!

Guys like Pacman need to realize they are role models for young youth. Young guys look up to NFL and NBA and MLB players. They cannot be out there messing up.

I am tired of reading about NFL players in trouble. Of course their are a lot of NFL players doing good. But sorry to say, they don’t make the headlines when they do good like players who do negative things.

So let’s see who will pick Jones up. Or will anyone pick him up for the new NFL season. We will let you know. Gordon Curvey

Manny Returns To L.A. To Play With The Dodgers

ARTICLE FROM mlb.com (full story click here)

PS I know the fans in Los Angeles are happy as hell the Manny Ramirez is back with the Dodgers. The problem I have as a sports fan is the cash he is getting in these terrible economic times.

Millions and millions and millions of dollars for two years. I am sorry, these type of contracts are not good when people are trying to put food on the table, gas in their cars and pay light bills and rent and more.

I wonder if Manny is giving anything back to the youth in the community like baseball camps or free Dodger tickets during the season or has he put together a foundation to help the inner cities?

Or is he just banking the cash, driving big cars and living in a tremendous house with 20 bedrooms? It is his money and of course he can do what he wants, but it would be great if Manny would look out for the community when he is getting mega millions.

I like to watch him play and he is a great player and most likely he is going to the Hall Of Fame, I just have a problem with the big contract. G.C
