Saints, Hornets Face Cash Payment (msn sports)

SAINTS AND HORNETS FACE PAYMENTS (full story click here)

P.S. If the New Orleans Hornets move, they could move to right here in Seattle. As you know, the Sonics have moved to Oklahoma City and are now the Thunder.

After 41 years, our city does not have a NBA team. As a sports fan it hurts big time knowing I cannot go Key Arena to conduct interviews with NBA players.

If we can get the politicians to pass a bill to help fix up our arena, we could maybe land the Hornets if they move.

Another team that is having problems is Memphis. So maybe their is hope for NBA fans here in Seattle after all. Gordon Curvey

Steelers Win Super Bowl In Thriller! (Story From Pittsburgh Tribune Review)

THE PITTSBUGH STEELERS WIN SIXTH SUPER BOWL (full story click here)

P.S It was a great game. This is two Super Bowls in a row that went down to the wire. And the commercials were great too during the game.

The Arizona Cardinals I thought had the game won, but the Steelers pulled it out. Truth be told I wanted the Cardinals to win. Even if they are in the same division as our Seahawks.

I am tired of the same teams winning all the time. The Steelers won the Super Bowl against our Seattle Seahawks a few years ago so I wanted a “new” team to win sort of speak.

I hope the Seahawks can get back to their winning ways after a terrible season. We have a new head coach and hopefully our QB will stay healthy next season.

With our Sonics gone, and the Mariners not doing well last season, let’s hope our Seahawks can return to the Super Bowl next season. Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Gordon Curvey

Fitzgerald Says He’d Pitch In To Keep Boldin (aol news)

CARDINAL PLAYER WANTS TO KEEP ANQUAN BOLDEN (full story click here)

Larry Fitzgerald who is playing in the Super Bowl with the Arizona Cardinals wants to keep Anquan Bolden on his team. Do you blame him? Boldin is a great player.

If a player will knock money of their paycheck to keep a player, you know the player wants to win!! That is for sure.

If Boldin bolts, maybe our Seahawks can land him. Our team needs to get back on top after a poor season this year. So Paul Allen, where are you? Gordon Curvey

Bobcats Claw For Fans (charlotteobserver.com)

CHARLOTTE BOBCATS TRYING TO GET FANS TO THE GAMES (full story click here)

P.S The Bobcats are having trouble getting fans to the games in this time of our terrible economy. The Bobcats are losing millions and millions according to owner Bob Johnson, the former owner of B.E.T (Black Entertainment Television).

All this is great for us here in Seattle. Of course our Seattle Supersonics left town for Oklahoma City and their name is now the Thunder. By the way, the Thunder have been much better after a 4-30 start.

The only way we can get a new team back to Seattle is one of the teams that is not doing well at the gate like Charlotte or maybe Memphis may want to leave their city.

But we cannot obtain another NBA team until our arena (Key Arena), is upgraded. It will not happen until this happens.

Some of you may not know that “The King” Michael Jordan is running things in the front office with NBA legend Larry Brown is the head coach. Under Brown, the Bobcats are playing much better.

So as a Supersonics fan since childhood, I hope the fans continue to stay away from Bobcat games so maybe we can have another NBA back here in Seattle where it belongs. Gordon Curvey

New Coach Might Have Committed More Violations (seattlepi.com)

UW COACH MAY HAVE COMMITTED MORE VIOLATIONS (full story click here)

P.S. The new University of Washington head coach is in the local news again for possible minor violations. This is not good.

These rumors rather true or not is not for a program trying to rebound from a 0-12 season under former head coach Ty Willingham.

I am wondering if Sarkisian knows any of the rules of the NCAA? It seems he does not. Yes Willingham’s record was not good at all. BUT, at least he knew the rules and his kids went to class and graduated. That is for sure.

Maybe the UW made a mistake in hiring this fella. Maybe they should have hired Turner Gill. Who turned the program around at Buffalo.

The UW was in such of a hurry to replace Willingham, that they maybe acted to quick in hiring Sarkisian.

If you listen to sports radio up here in Seattle, callers was so happy in the new coach being hired, you would have thought Sarkisian was the second coming of Chuck Knox, Vince Lombardi or Eddie Robinson.

Their has been rumors of two other minor violations by Sarkisian in the last few weeks.

Again we do not know if the rumors of minor violations are true. But true or not, this is not good for the UW program trying to make a name for it’s self again in college football. Gordon Curvey
